Well, as you all may know I started like just one week ago with this mod and the first thing I’m busy with is not any: coding, modelling, animating, mapping. No! Never start doing that. You should see your mod as a big project where different parts all come together. So the first thing you should realize is: What different parts are there? what has to be done with these parts? are they useful, or better: is it possible for me to do that? You should write everything done in something like a project book. I didn’t even start with any fancy thing. I started to work on the story you follow in my mod first. When I have finished that. I will upload it here and on other places to see what people think from it. Does it need improvement, does something has to be cut away? Then I’ll do that and upload again until I have a solid story. Then I’m going to wander about all the cool and awesome features we could make.

But don’t get me wrong, with a team, you can do more at once, one can concentrate on the features others on some models, but even before that, write down what you want. Can you do it and has it value for the mod, then do it. Otherwise cut it! you don’t want to spent a lot of time on stuff you wont use for the mod. I’m just starting with the writing of the story because I work alone on this mod. This is because I want to know everything about modding and all the work that has to be done around it. So I can provide you with a lot of stories and stuff to read ^-^

So: Start with a project book before one single piece of code is written down, or one single piece of model has made. Just write down how it will look like. And then start on your mod!

Good luck!

P.S. I hope you liked my second post and have learned something. Also, if you think there is missing something or something is incorrect. Just comment! I’d love to get nice and helping comments!

Hey everyone!

I found a new purpose for my website. It is going to serve as the website for my upcoming mod. Noodles-mod!

On this website I’ll keep track on what I am doing, this will be a lot since I’m making this mod on my own.

Why am I making this mod alone?

Good question: I’m making this mod on my own, because I want te learn all about a mod, every side of it. Programming, Coding, Modelling, Animation, Sound, and ofcourse mapping.

I want to learn all that because I want to know how it’s done!

I hope you will enjoy my further posts!

Greetings,

Noodles
